3 Reasons Why You Are Failing To Lose Weight
There are many reasons why you maybe failing to lose weight when you are dieting or eating healthy. I have focused on three primary reasons that I have observed with my clients that has caused them to lose hope in the process.
Reason 1 For Failing To Lose Weight: Patience
In our fast-paced culture with “high-speed” everything, “fast food” and “express lanes” it is hard to be patient anymore. However, this mind-set isn’t going to work when it comes to losing weight. If you want to do it the “right way” you are setting yourself up for failure. The weight didn’t get put on in two weeks so it is unrealistic for it to come off that quickly too right?
The majority of people are failing at losing weight because of patience. They quit because they aren’t seeing amazing results in two weeks. It’s unrealistic to think that is possible. You can make a lot of progress though. I lost 16 lbs and 2 dress sizes in 90 days doing my first home workout program (P90X) and drinking Shakeology along with eating healthy. Some of my other challengers have lost 26 lbs. in 3 weeks doing the 21 Day Fix workout too. We both stayed consistent with our workouts and our nutrition plan though. We didn’t quit when it got tough or things came up in our schedule that tried to prevent us from doing our daily workout or eating healthy either. When you are trying to lose weight you need to keep a positive state of mind. You have to understand that if you are doing this the “right way” then it’s going to take time as long as you stay consistent and keep going.
Reason 2 For Failing To Lose Weight: Nutrition
Remember me saying the “right way” is going to take time? Well, let me explain that . In order to get any results you have to eat healthy. If you want results you will also have to exercise daily and eat less than your calorie target a day. The foods have to be healthy and a mix of carbs, fats and proteins. Typically you should be eating 500 calories less than your target.
Reason 3 For Failing To Lose Weight: A Great Workout
Walking on an elliptical or treadmill can help trim some fat off your bones, but if you want to get some real results you are going to have to sweat. I’m not a fan of machines. I do home workouts and have a budget I stick to. If you’re like me you want to save money for emergencies and the future. So why not make an investment in some adjustable weights or resistance bands and a yoga mat for your equipment. Then invest in a home workout program that will get you guaranteed results. Yes, I said guaranteed. That means that if you aren’t satisfied with a workout program that you purchased from the How Busy Moms Get Fit site, you can return it within 30 days (some are longer than that to return) and get your money back. Plus some of the program’s come with a mat, resistance bands and even a barbell with weights! If you want to take a look at the hundreds of satisfied customers out there simply Google “21 Day Fix Results” or “T25 results” and check out the before and after photos. If you still aren’t convinced that they are “real people” email me I’ll be happy to share other success stories from my own How Busy moms Get Fit team.
The workout you choose should have exercises that are challenging and typically between 30 minutes and an hour. It should be a mix of both cardio and weights as well.
My biggest hope for you is that you stay consistent and keep going. Don’t worry about the scale reading it’s just a number and doesn’t define you. The results will come if you stay the course!
