My Results In 21 Days
I recently completed round 1 of 21 Day Fix Extreme. I missed a couple workouts and didn’t eat 100% clean either. But I am happy with my results. I started the program with a group of ladies who were doing this or the 21 Day Fix workout. Our goals were to lose weight, tone up and lose body fat. My main goal was to lose body fat. I have been doing programs from Team Beachbody since February 2011. By far my favorite program was the 21 Day Fix. So when Autumn released the 21 Day Fix Extreme I knew it was something I wanted to conquer.
When I started in 2011 I weighed 171 lbs and was a size 11 at 5′ 3″ tall. Today I am 137 lbs and a size 5. I credit my hard work and support group at How Busy Moms Get Fit for pushing me along the way. Here are is a picture of me at my heaviest and during my journey up to 21 Day Fix Extreme
Up until I started the 21 day fix extreme I had already lost 32 lbs. I started to gain back fat during this time as I had stopped eating correctly. I can my eating habits on a millions different things, but that doesn’t help. They are excuses I was just plain lazy.
So September 17th, 2015, I decided it was time to regain some muscle and reduce the fat I gained. I started 21 Day Fix Extreme. I followed the eating plan for the most part and kept track of my containers every day. I tried to drink at least 9 glasses of water a day and using was a glass under. The water really does help keeping you hydrated and removing toxins from the body. I felt better drinking the water and my body loved me for it.
I have to tell you that these workouts were hard. I had to push myself to get through them. The lower fix extreme and cardio fix extreme were the hardest for me. I was drenched in sweat. But I didn’t quit them. I took short breaks and kept on going.
I also started using the performance supplement line that Team Beachbody had just released. I seriously love them! Because of all the sweating that I did during the workouts the Hydrate really helped me to finish the workouts. I think I may have quit before the end if it wasn’t for that supplement alone. I also credit the loss of body fat and increase in muscle tone to taking the Recharge supplement 30 minutes before I went to bed. The slow-digesting casein protein helped fuel my muscle while I slept. In the past I’ve never taken a supplement before bed. I think this helped my maintain the tone in my muscles when it would normally break down during a 7 to 9 hour sleep.
I pushed on and enjoyed the challenge of increasing my weights from 7.5 lbs to 15 lbs as well. I have to say I love lifting weights, but in the back of my mind I thought that increasing them would make me manly toned. I hate that stereotype!!! It didn’t though and it allowed me to create more muscle tone in my legs and back. The nutrition can be difficult, but with the release of the Fixate cookbook I was able to stay on track with my meal prep. There are some really great recipes in there and the tomato sauce recipe was my savior!
My 21 Day Fix Extreme Results
At the end of 21 Days I had the following results with this program:
The left is day 1 and the right is day 21. I lost 3 lbs, 1 inch in my waist, 1 inch in my chest, 2.5 inches on hips, 1.5 inches in each arm and 1.5 in each thigh. I’m amazed to say I also lost 4% body fat!
Where I am proud is the butt lift that it gave me. I also was able to lose fat in my belly where I struggle to lose the most. I’m already planning on starting Round 2.
