4.  Right Workout program

Picking the right workout program is important.  You want a program that pushes your limits, but doesn’t cause injury.  What activities do you enjoy?  Do you like running or cardio?  Do you enjoy lifting weights?  Do you like dancing or martial arts?  The program you pick should be one you will enjoy and look forward to doing.  I know there will be days that you don’t feel like working out because that is normal.  But enjoying the program you are doing is going to make it easier to push play everyday regardless of your attitude.  I also have a daily blog of my current workout program Insanity.  Take a look at it under My Journey.

5.  Right Diet Plan

If you really want to cut the crap and win at losing weight you are really going to have to cut the crap out of your diet too!  Yes, you have to cut out the soda, the cheeseburgers and the fries.  Yes, the sugar in your coffee and even potato chips!  I know it isn’t going to be easy but you knew this when you started.  The only way you are going to start seeing results with the right workout program and the right state of mind is a healthy diet.  Do your homework online.  Check out sites such as Men’s Health and My Beachbody Site for tips and advice on a healthy diet.  You can also ask your coach to help you with finding the right amount of daily calories and the right percentages of carbs, healthy fats and proteins you will need to consume everyday.  I do suggest you start counting calories immediately.  You can do this by signing up for an account at Win at Losing Weight with MyFitnessPal .  This is a free account that will help you log your calories burned with your workouts and the food you eat each day.  If you have a smart phone there is also a free app you can download that will allow you to log your calories while on the go or at work.  Using this program has helped me to become more accountable of the food I eat each day. You will also need to start taking a mult-vitamin as well.  This will help supplement the nutrients you have lost during your workouts.

6.  Support and Motivation-challenge group

Joining a Challenge Group was the best decision I made when my Coach told me about the opportunity.  I met some great people who all had one goal to win at losing weight.  After posting about the ups and downs of our journey we came to know each other.  When someone posted about their lack of accountability or their break in progress, several of the people in the group would encourage that person and give them advice on what has worked for them.  I even had days like this and it was nice to know that people I had never met could become a support system and challenge me to be better than I thought I was.  This is the core of the Challenge group.  They support, motivate and test your limits.  This allows you to push harder and get results faster.  You can also share healthy recipes, advice and even develop life-long friendships by being in a Challenge group.  I offer prizes during my group Challenges.  This is extra incentive to help my Team achieve their goals.  Want to be part of a Challenge group?  I have one starting this month.  If you are interested in joining one of these groups Click Here.  You will be redirected to sign up to become a part of Team Hustle first.  I will then contact you personally to discuss which group you would like to join.  As always I have general Challenge groups for other programs like P90X, Turbofire, Body Beast and Insanity  starting every month.  If you want support, motivation and to win at losing weight join a Challenge group for maximum results.

7. Right Frame of Mind

When you are trying to make your workout part of your routine you have to learn to ignore the excuses that form in your head.  You wake up in the morning and your brain automatically starts organizing your day.  I’m sure the thought of working out passes through there at some point.  However, sometimes you get stuck thinking about how you don’t have time, you got up late, you are tired, you don’t feel like it, blah, blah blah…. That is your brain trying to talk you out of pushing play.  Decide to do a workout the first thing in the morning.  I understand for some of you that is not possible with taking the kids to school or working the overnight shift.  I work 12 hour shifts at my full-time job and I have to be at work at 6 A.M.  I made the decision to get up at 4 A.M. six days a week to make sure I workout.  My alarm goes off at 4 A.M. and I get up out of bed.  I don’t think about anything but pushing play.  I put in the DVD get my workout clothes on and push play.  Yes my mind is saying you are nuts and it is too early to be up.  But I ignore and know this is what I must do.  I have made a routine out of this.  As a result, that voice that is giving me the poor excuses is getting quieter.  It is fading away and is background noise now.  I know that my will to be healthier is stronger than the will of my excuses.  Excuses will get you no closer to your goals.  When you feel an excuse forming….just push play!  My motto, “No Excuses” I hope I have help you learn some strategies that will help you to win at losing weight.  It is not going to be easy and you will have to work for it, but the feeling of confidence and worth that you will receive from this is priceless!  I know you can do it because I did, and I am no different from any of you.  Health and fitness has become my lifestyle now.  People say that I am obsessed but I think of it as a commitment.  I have made a commitment to myself to stay healthy and in the best shape I can be.  I will not accept failure.  If you want to win at losing weight you will have to want to win at taking charge of your mind and ultimately your life If you want to learn more about how I can help you come join Team How Busy Moms Get Fit by clicking here.  Sign up and become part of the wellness revolution going on in the United States.  You will help end the trend of obesity and win at losing weight for good!
